Social media can be a very confusing and complicated thing to figure out. There are many great places to turn to for social media advice and tips, including Rachel Thompson’s BadReadheadMedia , Buffer’s Blog, Social Media Examiner, and HubSpot’s Blog. Each of these sites is full of amazing tips for social media in general and for platforms like Facebook, and Twitter. If you have social media questions that you can’t find answers to, I have found that these sites can be a great place to find answers to questions. In addition to being full of answers to potential questions, each of these sites can help a person get started on social media and make a strategy.
If you’re an author who is struggling with social media, Rachel’s site is the best place to go! There are many tips on how to market through social media, and how to network better on social media. By far one of my favorites is Rachel’s Do’s and Don’ts post on Twitter for authors! Rachel’s site is more directed towards authors than anyone else since that is her main audience, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t amazing tips everyone can use. One great example of this is her post on social media groups and how to use them. In addition to have great tips on what some aspects of social media are, Rachel’s site has an awesome article on how you can make your life easier when it comes to scheduling social media posts, and the sites than can help you do so.
Buffer’s blog is one of my favorite places to go to for social media help, besides Rachel’s site. There are tons of articles on both Facebook and Twitter! Not only are there tons of tips on how to use both platforms but there are awesome articles on how to engage more too! Like this article on how to engage with your social media followers! Buffer also has invaluable information on things like the ideal photo sizes for many social media platforms, you can see that article here!
Social Media Examiner
Though the site may not look the most professional, Social Media Examiner has many great tips on several social media platforms. When looking for tips on how to increase engagement on Facebook, or in Facebook groups, Social Media Examiner is a great place to go. One of my favorite articles on Facebook can be found here. In addition to several phenomenal articles surrounding Facebook and how to better use the platform, Social Media Examiner has done a great job on compiling ideas and tips how to use Snapchat for marketing, customer support and other ways. If you’re someone who is just getting started using Snapchat for marketing this article is a really great place to find ideas and advice on how to generate leads from Snapchat. Another fantastic article for people who are just starting out on the adventure of using Snapchat for business can look to this article for advice on how to get your business on Snapchat.
Hubspot’s Blog is a great place to turn to for social media help, especially if you run a business. Hubspot’s blog has a great post with tips on how to learn social media marketing, just for beginners! In addition to their advice for beginners Hubspot did an experiment to find out just how often you should post on social media, you can find that article here. Just because Hubspot’s blog is full of amazing tips for businesses and entrepreneurs doesn’t mean the site is all business! They have a great post this week on last minute Halloween costume ideas for tech geeks and marketers.
Each of these sites, is full of phenomenal information, if there is a certain platform you’re struggling with, I strongly suggest searching it on each site, or even looking into their categories in the blogs. One of the most important things to remember on social media is that it is important to be social and interact. Engage with your followers on a personal level, even if it is only on your business accounts.
